Description

The garden wall at Penllwyn is a Grade II listed structure made of rubble with rough stone coping, surrounding the former garden of the manor house. The highest section is at the front, where the wall steps out to create an entrance bay that roughly mirrors the house's frontage. This section is raised to form piers that support a segmental arched pegged boarded gate with heavy hinges. The wall extends down the hillside and to the rear, where it is interrupted by a breeze block recess. It continues along the uphill side to the west, where there is a wide entrance opening.
