Description
The War Memorial is a monument made of grey granite. It features two steps and a tiered battered plinth that supports a tapering rectangular pillar. The front panel of the pillar displays the names of those who fell in the First World War, presented in applied lettering within a moulded surround. The names of those from the Second World War are inscribed on the sides. Above the pillar, there is a moulded cornice topped with a wreath, and further cornice above that is surmounted by an acanthus leaf finial on a scroll.
