Description

Pont y Cefn is a road bridge constructed in ferro-concrete, featuring a single open arch supported by vertical piers in the spandrels between the arch and the carriageway. The balustrades and rails may have been modified or replaced over time. The bridge is built at a significant angle over the Afon Taff Fechan, with a carriageway that is 5.4 meters wide. The parapets rise to about 1.3 meters in height, and there is a 2.1-meter-wide footpath on the northern side only. Additionally, the carriageway extends beyond the main bridge structure on the eastern side, likely to accommodate a path or track.
