Description

Pont-y-Cafnau is a notable structure featuring coursed rubble abutments that support a pair of A-frame trusses, which include braces and vertical "king-posts." The design incorporates raised brackets at the ends of the cross-girders. The deck is supported by straight ironwork girders and retains some original chairs and seating from the tramroad. Modern metal handrails are present, with the exception of one original section that flanks the approach path on the eastern bank.
