Description

Brithdir Aqueduct features brick and stone abutments on either side of a cast-iron trough made up of rectangular plates with splayed flanges that are bolted together. On the towpath side, there is a cast iron railing from 1828, which has closely spaced posts below the mid-rail and an iron handrail. A timber deck and a plain iron rail on the west side were likely added during repairs around 1890.
