Description

Brithdir Lock Cottage is a two-storey building dating from the 18th century, constructed of blue brick with a slate roof. The building comprises a main range with a short wing projecting to the front. A doorway, with a four-panelled door and overlight, is situated in the angle where the main block and wing meet. Above the doorway is a small window. The main windows are set in the gable end, facing upwards along the canal; these are two-light casement windows with cambered brick heads. Similar windows are also found in the gable of the wing to the left. To the left of the house is a small yard enclosed by blue-brick walls.
