Barn at Pandy Farm

The barn at Pandy Farm is a 19th-century rubble-built structure located alongside Brecon Road. It features dressed quoins, a brick oculus, ventilation slits, and loft openings in the gables. The barn has a pointed arched wagon entrance with a projecting brick frame that is offset to the right. It is topped with a modern tiled roof.

Behind the barn, single-storey stables enclose the northwest and southwest sides of the farmyard. These stables are constructed of coursed rubble and have cambered freestone arches over the openings. The northwest range has a slate roof, while the twin southwest ranges are covered with modern tiles.

The outer sides of the southwest ranges include later cambered openings with rusticated dressings, and there is an attached two-bay coach-house set back from the main structure. The southeast front, which adjoins the Clock Tower, features two segmental arched windows and an offset doorcase with dressed surrounds.

This barn originally served as the stables, coach-house, and stores for Cyfarthfa Castle.
