Description
Lansdowne School, School House is a two-storey cottage built with Newbridge sandstone rubble walls arranged in courses, featuring Bath stone dressings and a Welsh slate roof. It has a gable end facing Norfolk Street and a longer side facing Lansdowne Road. The gable end includes a canted bay at the bottom and a three-light stone mullioned window above, although modern plastic windows have been installed. There is a slit vent in the gable above. The roof is steeply pitched, but the chimneys are missing. The long side elevations have small windows. On the Lansdowne Road side, there are two windows and a door with sidelights on the ground floor, along with a paired window above. The left end of the building features a slightly lower roof line and coped gables. The interior has not been seen during the resurvey.
