Description

The School House at Allensbank Primary School is a two-storey cottage built with Newbridge sandstone rubble walls arranged in courses, featuring Bath stone dressings and a Welsh slate roof with ridge tiles and red brick chimneys. The gable end faces the street and includes a canted bay on the ground floor, with a three-light stone mullioned window above, although modern plastic windows have been installed. A slit vent is located in the shaped gable above. The steeply pitched roof is complemented by two chimneys.

On the long side elevation, there are small windows, most of which are original sashes with small panes above two panes. The ground floor contains three single-light windows and a paired sash set within a hipped roof projection. The upper floor features a single plastic window, a paired sash, a triple sash, and a roundel. The rear elevation has not been seen. The interior was not observed during the resurvey.
