Description

Tan-yr-Yw is a 2-storey cottage constructed of roughcast rubble, featuring a modern slate roof and plain end chimneys. The front of the cottage is nearly symmetrical, with two windows and a central entrance that has a recessed, 20th-century boarded and studded door. It has 12-pane 19th-century recessed sash windows, and to the right, between the ground and first-floor levels, there is a recessed slate plaque with a Welsh commemorative inscription.

The interior was not inspected during the survey in January 1996, but it is reported to have a beamed ceiling and an inglenook fireplace in the main ground floor room, along with a post-and-panel partition.
