Description

Pont-y-Pandy is a single-span road bridge built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features a segmental arch with recessed voussoirs made of long narrow stones beneath the arch ring. Below the rubble parapet, there is a plain band, topped with large rough-dressed capping stones. The western parapet, which is on the upstream side, ends at the northern approach with a circular pier that curves outwards slightly. The eastern parapet has been partially lost at the northern approach where Bro Geirionedd Road branches off, and it slopes up slightly on the southern side before coming to an end.
