Description
Plas Coch is a mid-19th century L-shaped town house designed in a simple late Regency style. It is constructed from rough-dressed slate-stone blocks and features a modern slate roof with deep verges and plain bargeboards on the gable ends. The main block has a plain end chimney with a simple cornice band. The two-bay main block is set back, with a single-bay subsidiary section extending to the left at right angles. This subsidiary section has elegant, recessed 12-pane sash windows on both the east (road-facing) and north (gabled) sides, each floor featuring projecting slate cills. The entrance is located to the left of the main block and includes the original four-panel door with a plain three-light rectangular fanlight above. The ground and first floors have windows as previously described, and there is a small four-pane sash window at the attic level on the gable end of the main block. The interior was not inspected during the re-survey in January 1996.
