Allensbank Primary School, Infants

Allensbank Primary School, Infants, is a single-storey block designed in the Flemish-Elizabethan style, closely resembling the upper floor of the Junior block but without the central bay. The building features Newbridge sandstone rubble in thin courses, Bath stone dressings, and Welsh slate roofs. The balanced elevation to the street consists of four bays, with the outer bays recessed and the central bays topped with shaped Flemish gables. Each bay includes a 4-light window with small panes above the transom and 2 over 2 pane sashes below. The centre windows are adorned with moulded tympana and a circular vent above in the gable. A ventilator is located on the transverse ridge behind, and the outer bays have hipped roofs. There is a gable with a roundel and an additional classroom window on the right return. The rear elevation has not been seen. The interior was not observed during the resurvey.
