Description
The Pines is a two-storey detached house built with stuccoed walls and a hipped Welsh slate roof featuring plain overhanging eaves. The original entrance front, which faced west, is now the garden front. This side has two sash windows with 6 over 6 panes set in elliptical heads, along with a central doorway that now features a modern glazed door and overlight. The east elevation consists of three bays and includes a projecting gabled bay at the east end, which is a later extension. The south elevation, which serves as the entrance, has a projecting bay with a pediment and a rectangular porch below. This porch contains 6 over 6 sash windows flanking a glazed door and is a late 20th-century addition.
The interior was not available for inspection during the resurvey in November 2001; only the hall and stair were observed, showing significant internal alterations from the late 20th century. The listing description mentioned panelled shutters in the ground floor rooms and architraves, but it is unclear if any of these features remain.
