Description

Bridge House is a house dating probably from the 18th century, constructed with roughcast rendering over rubble stone and covered by a Welsh slate roof with red brick stacks. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. It features a double-depth plan and a rear service outshut. The central doorway has a trellised porch with a tented roof, above which is a rectangular fanlight with tracery, and the door itself is panelled. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars arranged as 6 over 6 panes, and stone sills. The roof is plain gabled with stacks at each end, and the gable elevation is blind. The rear elevation includes a sash window with 3 over 6 panes on the upper floor, and a small two-storey outshut to the left. To the right of the house stands a small gabled building, originally a stable, which was later converted into a shop; it retains the original doorway with a ventilator above and the hayloft door. The interior was not inspected during a resurvey in November 2001.
