Description
Penarth House is a two-storey building primarily covered in stucco and painted over local rubblestone, topped with a Welsh slate roof. It features a double depth central entrance plan and a symmetrical front with a hipped roof. The façade includes three large sash windows with glazing bars arranged in a 6 over 6 pane configuration, with the lower windows being wider and flanked by additional side-lights. The entrance boasts a wide panelled door with sidelights and decorative 'teardrop' glazing bars in the segmental fan-light above. The eaves are deep and flat with bracketed supports, and there are red brick stacks on each end wall. To the left, there is a one-storey lean-to extension that includes one margin-glazed sash window. The rear elevation features two lean-to extensions and has plain casements and sashes, with a kitchen stack located at the centre of the rear wall. The property was not available for inspection during the resurvey.
