Description
Walnut Tree Cottage is a Grade II listed house that is fully rendered and painted, likely over local rubblestone, and features a Welsh slate roof. This single storey and attic building originally had a two-room layout, with an additional room added in line. The original entrance was likely located in the south gable, while the current entrance is a 19th-century alteration.
On the east elevation, there are three windows and the entrance, arranged as window, window, door, window. The door is modern and is accompanied by a gabled porch, with plain casement windows. The upper floor includes a wall dormer to the left in the extension and a smaller 19th-century dormer above the porch, both featuring wavy bargeboards and small paned casements. The steeply pitched roof has two ridge stacks; the one on the left gable is original, while the one on the right gable is a 19th-century addition. The rear elevation has two casement windows plus one, all with two over two pane casements. The interior was not available for inspection during the resurvey.
