Description
The Old Forge is a small forge dating from an unspecified period. It is a low, single-storey building constructed of painted stone rubble, rendered on the side and pebbledashed at the rear. The main doorway features dressed stone voussoirs, while the other openings have brick voussoirs. The roof is made of Welsh slate and has a central stone stack.
On the left side, there is a basket-arched doorway with double boarded doors, and on the right, a doorway is flanked by boarded openings. A tethering ring is located in the front wall. A channeled stream runs past the right gable end, indicating that the building may have used water power. The left side wall has a ground floor opening with a painted sign that reads "The Old Forge."
There is no access to the interior.
