Description

The Blacksmith's Shop is an early 19th-century forge constructed from dressed stone and snecked rubble, topped with a Welsh slate roof. It is a single-storey building that is one room deep and two rooms long. The left room projects slightly and features one window with a chamfered surround, which contains the forge and its square, blackened chimney. The right room has a similar window and a stable door, both with chamfered surrounds. The windows are characteristic of blacksmith's shops, featuring thin, narrowly set vertical iron glazing bars.
