Description
This building is a forge located south-east of the junction with the A692, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with irregular quoins and features a Welsh slate roof with flat stone gable coping. The forge is a single storey with three bays. The entrance consists of a Dutch door with a flat stone lintel, flanked by horizontal sliding sash windows that also have flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills. The roof includes a brick chimney with a cornice on the right and a truncated rendered chimney on the left. Inside, there is a central wooden plank panel set into the stone block floor, along with a forge and anvil.
