Description

Whalton Forge is a forge, probably built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from squared, roughly-tooled stone and features a Scottish slate roof with a brick stack. The building is single storey and has two bays. There are double boarded doors and blacksmiths' windows in sliding sash to the left, with both openings having timber lintels and slightly-projecting sills. The left end stack is stepped and bonded.
