Description
Llawr-y-glyn Smithy is a building featuring random rubble stone walls with weatherboarding and a Welsh slate roof. It has a long single-storey wing to the south, which includes a shuttered window opening in the south gable end. The western elevation has a pair of ledged half-doors on the right side, while the left side has a roof that forms a pentice over a shallow projection with a shuttered window. At the rear, there is a low cross wing with a chimney on the gable end, which contains a fire hearth, bellows, and anvil inside. The northern end of the main wing has a shorter wing with higher eaves and ridge, featuring a stone stack at the southern end, and the western elevation of this wing is weatherboarded on the upper floor. The roof is supported by a queen strut truss. Inside, there are two pairs of bellows along with other smithy accessories, including the hearth and anvil.
