Description
The Smithy and Wash House to Rookwith House is an 18th-century structure built from rubblestone and ashlar, topped with a Welsh slate roof. It is a single storey building with two bays and features ashlar quoins. The entrance includes board doors with stone lintels, positioned to the left of a window that has a casement and a stone cill and lintel. The building is capped with stone coping and has one ridge stack and an end stack on the right side. Inside, the smithy on the left retains its original furnace and chimney, while the wash house contains an original fireplace. This building is included for its group value with Rookwith House.
