Description
Goytre House Farmhouse is a building that features an original section that is entirely rendered and painted over local rubble stone, while the rear wing is constructed of red brick. It has Welsh slate roofs and is one storey with an attic, presenting a two-bay central entrance front to the road, and a full two storeys in the later rear wing. The road-facing elevation includes a modern panelled door flanked by two sets of ten small-paned casements. These elements are sheltered by a full-width five-bay pent verandah supported by six timber posts with lateral bracing, creating five 4-centred arches. There are two large dormers with small-paned casements, each featuring dripmoulds above. The building has plain bargeboards with curled ceramic finials, and two flue stacks on the right gable. The left gable is blind, while the right gable includes a casement window on the upper floor. The gabled rear wing has 2 over 2 pane sashes and an end stack. The interior was not available for inspection during the resurvey.
