Description
The barn at Pen-hefyd Farm is a 19th-century structure built from limewashed stone rubble, featuring squared quoins and a Welsh slate roof with ridge tiles. It is a lofty barn consisting of seven bays. The east elevation has an off-centre porch with cart doors and slit ventilators. There is a longer wing to the north that includes a door leading to a stable. The west elevation has an opposed porch, and the north gable is adjacent to a cowhouse.
Inside, the barn has seven bays supported by six strapped king post trusses and three tiers of purlins. The threshing floor is paved with stone, and there are remains of a tallet at the north end over the stable.
