Description
No. 4 Quarry Cottages is part of a row of four estate cottages built from random rubble limestone, featuring a 'vertical crazy paving' style on the main elevation. The cottages have dressed long-and-short quoins and rusticated window surrounds, topped with a Welsh slate roof. Each cottage is two storeys high and single depth, with a small rear wing. The row has eight windows in total, with each cottage having two windows above a window and a door. The cottages on the left have their doors on the left side, while those on the right have their doors on the right. The two middle cottages are gabled. They feature plank doors and iron diamond lattice windows, with three-light windows below and two-light windows above; each window now has one single pane in the opening part. There are three stone ridge stacks positioned between the houses, and the rear elevation has been partly altered. The interior has not been inspected.
