No. 1 Quarry Cottages

No. 1 Quarry Cottages is part of a row of four estate cottages built from random rubble limestone with a 'vertical crazy paving' style on the main elevation. The cottages feature dressed long-and-short quoins and rusticated window surrounds, topped with a Welsh slate roof. Each cottage is two storeys high and has a single depth with a small rear wing. The row consists of eight windows, with each house having two windows above a window and a door. The left-hand cottages have their doors on the left side, while the right-hand cottages have their doors on the right. The two middle cottages are gabled. They have plank doors and iron diamond lattice windows, with three lights below and two lights above, each now having one single pane in the opening part. There are three stone ridge stacks located between the houses. The rear elevation has been partly altered. The interior has not been inspected.
