Description
This is a 17th-century dovecote, featuring a cylindrical structure made of roughly coursed limestone and topped with a corbelled domical roof. Some courses, particularly one located about 300mm above the door arch, are more carefully squared than the others. The walls are approximately 1 meter thick and include a narrow segmentally arched doorway, which appears to have been rebuilt. Inside, there are tiers of square niches or nesting holes for the birds.
