Description
The Old Police Station is a two-storey building constructed with local limestone walls and features a hipped roof made of Welsh slate, along with stone stacks on either side. The front of the building has two window bays and a central doorway, all faced with coursed dressed stone that is nearly of ashlar quality. The openings have stone lintels, a string course, and a stone plinth. On the ground floor, there is a tall two-light casement window with four panes on each side of a central four-panel door that has an overlight above it. On the first floor, there are sash windows with six over six panes on either side.
At the back, there is a contemporary projection with a hipped roof that originally had cement rendered cladding, which has since been removed, exposing more roughly finished stonework compared to the front. This projection has two sash windows on the first floor with cambered heads.
To the north-west, along Church Lane, there is a single-storey lean-to wing that is attached to the building. This wing has stone walls, a stone stack, and a slate roof.
The ground floor windows on the front elevation have internal shutters, but the interior has not been seen during the latest survey.
