Description

This is a 17th-century dovecote situated in the garden of a modern bungalow. Constructed of rubble magnesian limestone, it features stone slate eaves courses and a pantile roof. The dovecote is a single cell, two storeys high. The north side has a small door set within a chamfered ashlar surround; a continuous projecting ledge, often referred to as a 'rat course', runs around the building. It has crow-stepped gables. The returns of the building feature a ledge beneath a blocked opening on each gable. The interior has not been inspected.
