Description

The building is a long cow-house and stable range located to the northeast of Brooks Farm, dating from the 19th century. It is oriented east-west and features a hay loft above. The structure is built from rubble stone and topped with a slate roof, with quoins and dressed openings.

The southern front has four doorways with segmental heads supported by voussoirs. The stable doors are boarded, except for the left door, which is plain. To the left of these doors is a small opening with a timber lintel. There are two hay loft hatches that rise to the eaves, each with planked doors. The rear of the building has four small square openings that are asymmetrically placed. The two openings on the right have segmental arched heads that are joined, while the left opening is similar, but the one in between has a flat timber lintel.

On the western gable end, there are rendered steps flanked by a rubble wall leading to a first-floor doorway, which has been infilled with a 20th-century window and features a concrete lintel. There is also an opening on the eastern gable end.

Inside, there is partial access to the interior, which includes a collar truss roof. The western end has a cobbled floor, while the eastern end has a concrete floor.
