Description

Yr Hen Felin Wynt is a full height masonry structure of a tower windmill, with conical sides, which has been converted into a four-storey dwelling. The building features cement render over the masonry and is said to have a lead capped top. There is an adjoining masonry building to the north that has a slate roof.

The windmill is accessed through a modern half-glazed door on the east side, which is sheltered by a timber and slate porch and reached by stone steps. Above the entrance, there are three window openings with flat heads, one for each storey, all containing 20th-century top-hung windows with quarry glazing. On the west side, there are four identical windows arranged one above the other. The adjoining range also features 20th-century windows and doors in a similar style.

At the time of inspection on December 9, 1997, there was no access to the interior, but it is reported that the shaft gear survives at the top of the windmill.
