Description
Mill Heights is a tower windmill that has been converted into a dwelling. It was likely built in the late 18th century and has undergone alterations. The structure is made of brown brick arranged in English garden wall bond (4+1) and features a wooden cap. It has an approximately circular plan and consists of six stages. Staging beams are present between the third and fourth stages, with restored staging at the sixth stage, supported by similar beams.
On the east side, there is a 20th-century rectangular porch, with a square-headed doorway to the right. Another doorway is located on the opposite (south) side, and a similar doorway can be found on the west side of the fourth stage. Above the porch, there are a pair of glazed doors. The windmill also features segmental-headed windows that are vertically aligned on the east, south-east, and south-west sides. The cap is clinker-built and has a boat shape with fantail supports at the west end.
