Description

Crabtree Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating to the later 17th century, with alterations and extensions in the later 19th century. It is constructed of pebble-dashed render on handmade brick, with a composition tile roof. The original main range is a single-depth, two-unit design, with a projecting porch and a kitchen wing added to the rear.

The farmhouse is two storeys high and has two windows, appearing almost symmetrical. Features include a rendered plinth and a moulded cement string course. A small, two-storey gabled porch has a segmental-headed doorway with no window above. Two three-light casement windows are present on each floor, with gable chimneys. A single-storey kitchen wing is attached to the rear right-hand corner.

Inside, the first bay, originally a parlour, contains a 17th-century ovolo-moulded axial beam and a cross-corner fireplace. The second bay features two boxed beams.
