Description
Sycamore House is a symmetrical two-storey building featuring a three-window range with lower flanking wings. It is constructed of rendered masonry and topped with a slate roof, which includes rendered end stacks. The central entrance consists of a panelled front door adorned with an ornate fan-light, set beneath a slightly pointed arched head. On either side of the door are narrow French doors, each with decorated overlights and architraves that include keystones. The upper storey is fitted with 12-pane horned sash windows, each framed with architraves. The right wing has an end stack, wider French doors, and a 9-pane window above. The left wing features a 9-pane sash window in the centre of the upper storey, along with a hatch into the gable end. There have been later extensions and alterations to the rear of the building. Access to the interior was not available during the inspection on December 11, 1997.
