Description
Glan Elwy is a symmetrical two-storey building featuring a three-window front, finished in scribed render with a plinth. The roof is covered with slate, and there are rendered chimney stacks at each end. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows with architraves that sit nearly flush, while below, there are splayed sash glazed bays topped with a dentil cornice. The central entrance includes a keystone above a segmental fanlight and a heavily moulded doorcase, leading to a six-panel door.
The right end of the building is made of whitewashed brick and has a small pane pivot window. The south end of the lower range is set back and retains its chimney stack, although there is a modern alteration below it. The left side is roughcast and features mainly small-pane sash windows and a boarded door, with a lean-to entrance on the left.
An L-plan former stables and service range adjoins the eastern end, accessible through a rear courtyard, and has a boarded garage door. Inside, the main staircase retains a swept handrail and a turned newel.
