Former Preswylfa Childrens Home

The Former Preswylfa Children's Home is a single-unit, asymmetrical, two-storey building constructed from bull-nosed rubble. It features a three-window front, with the outer first-floor windows extending through overhanging eaves that have dormer-type roofs. The building has a tall hipped tiled roof adorned with ridge cresting and finials, along with brick-capped rubble chimney stacks. It includes a plinth and freestone window dressings.

A central two-storey and attic bay is set forward and has a gable end, with flanking cross roofs—gabled on the right and hipped on the left. The windows are mainly paired sash windows. There is a lean-to porch located at the return angle of the central bay. The right end has a half hipped roof, while the left end features a cross gable. The same architectural details are present at the rear, which includes a low central extension.

At the time of inspection in April 1986, the building was noted to be in poor condition.
