Description
The agricultural range at Blaengwrach Farm consists of a cowhouse and stable, built from limewashed rubble with a metal sheet roof covering only the stable. The roof over the cowhouse is missing. The front features five distinctive semicircular-arched openings with carefully dressed stone voussoirs, which are cambered on the inner side. On the left gable end, there is an unusual lancet opening leading to the stable loft. The rear of the cowhouse includes two small vent loops and two inserted windows.
The left bay is occupied by the stable, which has a transverse manger along the full-height stone dividing wall that separates it from the long cowhouse. The left end of the 7½ bay cowhouse was divided by a lower stone wall that extended almost the full width of the building, possibly creating a loose-box for calves. Beyond this, there is a feeding trough along the rear wall, which has four simple openings. The pegged collar roof trusses have all been removed.
