Description
The structure consists of a bridge, gatepiers, and railings located at the southern end of Manor Drive. The two tall gatepiers stand approximately 4 to 5 meters high and are made of large blocks of sandstone ashlar, each featuring a raised plinth and a stepped cap. On one side of each gatepier, there are iron railings that extend back to the bridge. These railings have square neck-rings, rounded ends, and acorn finials on the larger stanchions. There are four sections of railings on each side, with a slight inward step leading to a very low bridge over the canal, which is supported by iron girders. Additionally, there are similar railings arranged in three sections, along with a small final section on low stone coping, which ends against plain rubble stone piers.
