Description
3 Eden Avenue is a pair of houses featuring a red tiled roof and a pebble-dashed first floor above a ground floor of red brick and pebble-dash, with bathstone dressings. The buildings have a central chimney and tall end chimneys that are also pebble-dashed. The windows are casement style with square lead cames, and some include stained glass.
In the attics, there are two half-timbered gabled dormers with 3-light windows. Each house has two 3-light wooden casement windows at the center of the first floor. The ground floor features a broad red-tiled hipped roof porch with a 3-light window in the center, and the entrance door is located towards the ends of the porch, positioned between bathstone pillars. The right house has a two-storey splayed bay window beneath a half-timbered gable, while the left house has a two-storey square bay window with five lights at the front, also under a half-timbered gable.
The end elevation of the left house has a projecting gabled block with a chimney, featuring two 2-light oriel windows on the first floor beneath a red-tiled roof. The ground floor has another projecting gabled section made of red brick, with two round-headed windows beneath bands of purple tiles and bathstone keystones. To the left of the chimney, there is a half-timbered attic dormer and a 3-light casement window on the first floor. The roof slopes down to the left, where there is a tall chimney and one 2-light and one 3-light window on the ground floor. The rear of the pair has two gables with three small pane windows between which are two 3-light casements, one for each house.
