Description
The former boathouse located to the west of Storehouse Bridge is a small rectangular building that is entered at first floor level from the lane, while the lower storey faces the canal. It is constructed of stone rubble with tooled dressings and features a roof made of large Welsh slates with overhanging eaves, and an end stack on the right side. The first floor has Gothick shaped window openings, although the original glazing has been replaced. The gable end that faces the canal includes a wide segmental canal arch and a large window above it, which is situated under a wide hoodmould. A 20th-century porch has been added to the front entrance, along with a corrugated iron forge at the rear.
