Description
The Former Counting House is a small building designed in a toll-house style, situated on the canal bank. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof with decorative bargeboards and a large square axial stack. The building is a single-storey structure with one room at the roadside, while it has two storeys at canal level. It includes a pointed arched window with Gothick glazing in the gable end facing the road, along with a former doorway that has been converted into a window, which includes an inset stone seat beside it, facing the former tramroad. There are timber additions to the side and rear of the building. It has been converted into a dwelling.
