Description
Dyfnant is a stable and cart shed built from rubble sandstone, topped with a stone tile roof. The structure is divided into two units by a butt joint. The stable, located to the south, has a gable end facing the towpath to the east. It features a doorway on the left and an opening on the right, both under segmental heads. The cart shed to the right has two wide doorways with flattened elliptical arches and projecting keystones, along with two openings above that also have segmental heads. There is a pitching eye in the left gable end. Stone steps against the right gable end lead to a loft doorway, which has an opening above it similar to the front, complete with a sill and wooden louvres.
Both units contain lofts supported by cross-beams, and their roofs include tie beams and collar beams. The dividing wall also features a pitching eye similar to that of the south gable end.
