Description

Dyfnant Bridge, also known as Canal Bridge No 125, is a single-span hump-backed bridge made of rubble sandstone. It features an asymmetrical segmental arch with thin voussoirs and keystones, and has continuous parapets. The parapets are splayed and include square end piers with copings made of upright stones, except in areas where repairs have been made. On the eastern side, which faces downstream, there is a cast iron plaque displaying the bridge number in relief. To the northwest, the parapet is supported by a retaining wall that leads to the driveway. Additionally, a stone stile providing access to the towpath is incorporated into this wall.
