Description

Aberhoyw Cottage is a two-storey cottage, originally dating from the 19th century. It is constructed of whitewashed rubble stone with a slate roof and end stone stacks. The front elevation has a plat band and two windows on each floor. The upper windows are set within gablets, and there are two-light casement windows. A central boarded door provides access. A lean-to to the right has a three-light casement window, and a lean-to to the left has a boarded door. The rear elevation also features two windows on each floor, with matching gablets over the upper windows, and a glazed door was added in the late 20th century.

Inside, the cottage originally comprised two units, but is now arranged with a single ground-floor room. A later 19th-century cast iron range is present in the fireplace, which has a timber surround and a semi-circular stone stair to the left.
