Description
Cwmgarreg is a two-storey, two-window cottage built from whitened rubble stone with a slate roof and a brick stack on the right. The boarded door is located at the right end of the cottage. The lower storey openings feature wooden lintels, while the upper storey has two-light iron-framed casement windows in their original openings beneath the eaves, except for the lower right window, which is a slightly enlarged two-light wooden casement. At the rear, there is a small inserted window on the right.
To the left of the cottage, there is a lower farm range set at a slight angle, separated from the cottage by a vertical joint. This range is constructed from rubble stone with weatherboarding above and has a corrugated iron roof. It features double doors at the front and a single door at the rear. The lower, rebuilt range on the right is set back from the front of the cottage and is made of rubble stone and weatherboarding, with a slate roof and a skylight.
Inside, the building is now a single room but retains its original lobby-entry plan along with the original fireplace.
