Description
Blaen-nant-du is a 2-storey, 2-window cottage built of rubble stone, with the front rendered. It features a slate roof and brick end stacks. The lower storey has 2-light iron-framed casement windows set into original camber-headed openings, while the upper storey has 3-light iron-frame windows that have been enlarged from the original openings. The boarded door is positioned to the right of centre.
Attached to the right side (north) is a lofted cow house made of rubble stone, with its front rebuilt in blockwork and featuring three doors. The loft is covered with corrugated asbestos-cement and has a 2-light small-pane casement window on the left. On the left side (south) is a lofted farm range clad in corrugated iron, partially rebuilt in blockwork, and topped with a corrugated-iron roof. This range has two doors and two shuttered loft openings, with an additional range at right angles to the gable end.
At the rear of the house, there is a rubble-stone outshut with two 2-light windows and blockwork lateral extensions. Behind the downhill end of the cottage is a hopper for animal feed. The property has not been inspected.
