Description

Caerlydan is a small, two-bay, two-storey farmhouse dating from the late 17th to early 18th century. The original structure is timber-framed with a slate roof; the rear is weatherboarded, and one gable end is clad in corrugated iron, painted to resemble timber framing. The timber framing is close studded with tension braces at two levels. A contemporary brick stack is located between the hall bay and a narrower, lower bay, and there is a lean-to extension at one end. Later 20th-century timber windows have been inserted into the original openings. A 20th-century gabled open porch has been added to the front, and a conservatory was added to the rear.
