Description
Llaithddu Baptist Church is a chapel built with plain whitewashed rubble and features a long low range topped with a corrugated iron roof. The front has three large, crudely Gothic windows with segmental pointed heads, stone sills, and nine panes that include intersecting tracery. The left and center windows are similar and are separated by a blocked low door, which was the original chapel entry. The third window on the right has slightly different glazing bars. To the left of the third window is a four-panel door, which served as the original schoolroom entry, complete with a timber sloping hood and a small plaque that reads 'Llaithddu Baptist Church'. The rear of the building has two windows similar to those at the front, along with one window on the left that is set higher.
Inside, the chapel consists of a single long room with raised floor areas at both ends. The pulpit is located on the left end wall. The interior features pitch pine pews, a boarded dado, and white-painted boarding on the upper walls and ceilings. The three-sided ceiling has painted boarding over the roof trusses. There is a small platform with two steps on each side, ball-finial newels, and a panelled canted front that includes a central bookrest.
