Description
Dryslwyn-fawr Cartshed and Stables is a range of four cartsheds built to face north, with an altered lofted section to the west that contains two loose-box stables. The original part features sandstone coursed masonry and includes four limestone arches in sequence, separated by square piers. The roof is slate with a tor brat and tile ridge, covering five bays over the cartshed.
The western section is constructed of rubble masonry and has external loft stairs on the north side. Its roof continues the four-bay design of the cartshed roof. There are brick alterations that include door and window openings near the stairs and an upper access to the stable loft. The stable elevation facing west has two heck-doors with cambered brick arches and an upper opening in the gable that has been converted into a glazed window with two lights.
Inside the stables, there are hayracks and a timber-framed and brickwork division between the two loose boxes. The loft floor over the cartshed is missing.
